How long does ceramic coating last?
As long as the coating you choose: 2, 5 or 10 years, each with a registered warranty, as long as the car is washed safely and has its maintenance visits.
How much is ceramic coating in Kent?
A 2-year coating is from £550, 5-year from £900 and 10-year from £1,400. That includes the wash, decontamination and paint correction before the coating goes on. The final price is confirmed when we see the car.
Is ceramic coating worth it?
If you keep the car more than a year, usually yes. The paint is corrected first, the coating locks that finish in, and washing takes half the time because dirt and water slide off.
Ceramic coating or wax?
Wax lasts weeks. A ceramic coating bonds to the paint and lasts years. It is harder, more resistant to bird lime, fuel and UV, and it does not wash off.
Does ceramic coating stop stone chips?
It resists light wash marring, but it will not stop stone chips. For chips, put paint protection film on the front end and coat the rest.
Should I coat a brand new car?
Yes, it is the best time. New cars still arrive with dealer wash marks, so the paint gets a light correction before the coating goes on.

PPF · questions

What is PPF?
Paint protection film is a clear urethane film fitted over the paint. It takes the hit from stone chips, light scratches and road rash, and it self-heals small marks with warmth.
PPF or ceramic coating?
PPF stops physical damage such as stone chips. Ceramic coating gives gloss and makes washing easy. Most owners do PPF on the front end and coat the whole car, film included.
How much is PPF in Kent?
It depends on the car and how much of it is covered. We quote after seeing the car. Send the make, model and a photo on WhatsApp for a price.
Will I see the film?
Not from normal viewing distance. Edges are wrapped where the panel allows, and the film is clear.

Paint correction and machine polishing. Swirls come from washing: automatic washes, one bucket, the wrong towel. A measured layer of clear coat is polished away until the marks are gone and the paint looks deep again.

What is the difference between 1-step and 2-step correction?
A 1-step is one machine polish that removes light swirls and wash marks. A 2-step adds a cutting stage first to take out deeper scratches and oxidation, then refines to a show finish.
Will it remove every scratch?
Swirls, holograms and most light scratches, yes. A scratch you can catch with a fingernail is often through the clear coat; we will tell you honestly before we start.
Do I need correction before a ceramic coating?
Yes, and it is included in every coating price. A coating locks in whatever is underneath, so the paint is corrected first.
